Dr. Anson L. Service is a husband (20 years and going strong) and father of three active young men (ages 19, 16, and 12). He grew up in Portland Oregon as the youngest of nine children.  As a psychotherapist and behavioral scientist he became committed to discovering how the typical person, including himself, could apply the theories and laws of psychology, neurology, sociology, spirituality, and business to emerge from the typical ruts and stagnation many people feel.  He works with clients to bust through their own self induced hypnotic state of settling for less in life than their true abilities are capable of and helps them see life a little differently. He shares his discoveries through individual psychotherapy sessions, group counseling sessions, seminars to small and large groups, and in his books and CDs. He is the founder of Adventure Learning and Assessment, LLC which provides academic assessment, educational assistance, tutoring, and parent and student advocacy to students of all ages. He also enjoys hiking with his wife, camping, being a musician in a cover-classic rock band with his friends, and trying new and fun things.
